This particular area of dentistry provides both unique challenges and rewarding experiences for doctors. Each day, I am likely to encounter a patient who is in pain or is fearful of treatments, and I take great pride in upholding my responsiblilty to offer meaningful care in those situations. There is no better feeling than being able to relieve someone's suffering and to lead them to a place of increased comfort and happiness.

Dr. Challagulla was born in India and received his Bachelors of Dental Surgery from Bangalore University before relocating to Boston, MA to advance his knowledge in the field of health services.  While in Boston, Dr. Challagulla obtained his Masters in Public Health at Boston University and pursued his burgeoning interest in the field of endodontics.  Determined to help prospective patients better educate themselves about oral health and improve their overall wellness, he gained entry to  the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine and its post-graduate endodontic program. During his residency, Dr. Challagulla taught several microsurgery courses to global audiences, and he was also the lead investigator in a published research article entitled “Effect of Splint Coverage in Laser Doppler Readings.”

Dr. Challagulla has a deep passion for his role as an educator, which led to his appointment as an Adjunct Assistant professor at the University of Pennsylvania and has enabled him to gain direct exposure to the most current treatment modalities in the endodontic field.

A fully-licensed practitioner, Dr. Challagulla is Board Certified by the American Board of Endodontics which is considered the ultimate clinical credential, and only the top 20 percent of all specialists receive this accolade.

An active supporter of the local community, Dr. Challagulla is a member of the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), American Dental Association (ADA), American Association of Public Health Dentistry (AAPHD) and the Maryland State Dental Association (MSDA). When not practicing endodontics, Dr. Challagulla enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.

Dr. Body grew up in southeastern Pennsylvania, where his grandfather inspired him to become a dentist at an early age. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Biology from West Chester University. Dr. Body obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 2013 from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, graduating magna cum laude. After practicing as a general dentist for nearly a decade he developed a passion for endodontics and knew he wanted to specialize. He went on to complete a two-year endodontic residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City before moving back to Maryland. His time as a general dentist included four years in Pikesville/Owings Mills and he and his family are happy to be back in the area!

Dr. Body tries to put every patient at ease with his calm demeanor. He enjoys using his skills to get patients out of pain and preserve their natural teeth. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), American Dental Association (ADA), and the Maryland State Dental Association (MSDA). Besides being an endodontist, Dr. Body enjoys running outdoors, Crossfit, and spending time with his wife and two young children.
