COVID-19 INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Please stay home and consult your Doctor if you have symptoms of respiratory infection (fever, cough, shortness of breath).

  2. We will telephone screen all patients for signs or symptoms of respiratory illness (fever, cough, shortness of breath) and travel history. We will measure your Temperature, Heart rate, and Oxygen saturation at the time of check-in.

  3. We will require you to complete the medical questionnaire, consents, pain history, etc., online ahead of the appointment.

  4. Please wear a mask when you enter the office.

  5. Please brush, floss, and use a mouth wash before the appointment.

  6. We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.

  7. Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that youre offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.

  8. If dental treatment can be delayed, we will provide patients with detailed home care instructions and any appropriate pharmaceuticals.

  9. All doctors and staff will self-screen for COVID-19 signs/symptoms/exposure risk prior to and upon presentation to the office.

  10. We use four-handed dentistry, high evacuation suction and dental dams to minimize droplet spatter and aerosols.

  11. Along with traditional PPE (gloves, a gown, eye protection), an N95 or a combination of a surgical mask and a full-face shield will be used.

  12. We will ask you to rinse with Hydrogen peroxide and/or Chlorhexidine before we start the treatment. Before any treatment, patients will be given an oral rinse to reduce any possible intraoral viral load.  The oral rinse used will be known to kill enveloped viruses like SARS-CoV-2 and safe for patient use as an oral rinse.

  13. Air purifiers (HEPA Filters) have been installed in all the rooms.

  14. Rooms and equipment are maintained according to the Guidelines for Infection Control in Dental Health-Care Settings—2003 pdf icon

  15. Elevated infection control standards include the thorough sterilization and disinfection of the entire office including restrooms, reception area, treatment rooms, and instruments between each patient.
